Counter Flashing is a secondary layer of flashing installed over base flashing to create a durable, watertight seal where a roof meets a vertical surface – such as a chimney, side wall, or masonry structure. The most common material used is our 27 gauge aluminum, 26 gauge galvanized metal, or 16 ounce copper. Our counter flashing includes a 0.5″ lip that is made to be cut into brick and can be cut straight or into triangles for “step flashing”. This design is made to be used to cut to your own length, but we also offer 10 ft pieces that are strictly used for straight pieces. The dimensions are typically cut on site to fit, but any other sizes can be special ordered. For modified profiles, send us an email with a sketch for a quote.
